Absolut Vodka’s packaging is simply the most important vessel for communicating their vision and brand story, and it needs to live up to their ambition and the quality of the liquid it contains. Absolut needs to be prepared, and future-proof the brands survival even without it’s iconic glass bottle.
Absolut needs a sustainable packaging solution for the future.
The Concept
Today Absolut Vodka owns the bottle’s story from wheat to consumption, however, this new 1L standard bottle will also make Absolut own the end of that story. Absolut Alg is a bottle made out of algaes that will fully decompose itself after 10 days, no matter where it ends up.
