We created the first sushi ever, out of fish only from the Baltic sea – the world’s most polluted ocean. Our goal with this project is to inspire and show the possibilities of our local – but oh so misunderstood ocean. By creating the Baltic sushi, we’re hoping to nuance the one-sided destructive image of the Baltic Sea, and to help it recover by educating the public. A big thanks to the chefs at Yasuragi, our photographer and friend Gabriel, lady seaweed at the Baltic sea center, the tutors at SLU – and finally, the scientists at RISE for helping us make this idea and whole project a reality!
